Jamie Ashford wins Parking Knowledge Award at BPA People in Parking Awards

DCB Legal Technical Director Jamie Ashford has won the “Ernest Davies Award for Advanced Parking Knowledge” at this year’s BPA People in Parking Awards.

The award attracts entries from people who write about parts of the parking sector that interests them the most.

Winners and runners-up in recent years have written about a variety of different topics such as positive parking, workplace violence, the digitisation of TROs, suicide prevention, lithium ION batteries and the need for an independent regulator for enforcement agents.

The piece that made Jamie successful in winning the award is based on Women in Parking from a male perspective. The article focuses on the importance of Women in the parking sector and aims to promote, represent and raise their profile through the advancement of knowledge, training, and exchange of views via networking and ongoing support.

Jamie’s informative (and now award-winning) write-up is a heartwarming ode to the diversity and inclusion of women within the parking sector and we are proud that members of our team are speaking up for such important issues.
